Editorial Standards

Notable Profiles maintains independently verified public records for individuals whose professional visibility creates a legitimate need for accuracy, context, and accountability.

All profiles are created and maintained under the editorial standards set out below. These standards apply uniformly to all profiles, regardless of submission method or commercial relationship.

Editorial Principles

Our editorial approach is guided by five core principles:

1. Accuracy

Information must be factually correct, current, and supported by verifiable sources. Where information is incomplete or disputed, this is clearly indicated.

2. Independence

Editorial decisions are made independently of commercial considerations, personal requests, or external influence. Submission or payment does not guarantee inclusion or determine editorial outcomes.

3. Neutrality

Content is written in a neutral, factual tone. We do not promote individuals, advocate for particular viewpoints, or frame information to influence perception.

4. Transparency

Profiles clearly display verification status, source references, and review dates. Corrections and updates are logged openly.

5. Accountability

We reserve the right to amend, update, or remove profiles that no longer meet our standards or inclusion criteria.

Sources & Verification

Source Requirements

All material included in a profile must be supported by independent third-party sources wherever possible.

We apply a source hierarchy:

  • Primary sources
Official records, regulatory filings, court documents, company registries, academic publications

  • Secondary sources
Reputable media outlets, industry publications, conference records

  • Tertiary sources
Personal websites or self-published materials (used sparingly and never as sole sources)

Self-reported information may be considered but is not sufficient on its own.

Identity Verification

Before publication, each profile undergoes an identity verification process to confirm that:

  • The subject is a real individual

  • The individual’s identity matches publicly available records

  • Biographical details can be substantiated

Anonymous, pseudonymous, or unverifiable identities are not accepted.

Content Creation & Review

Each profile follows a consistent editorial process:

  1. Eligibility assessment against published inclusion criteria

  2. Identity verification

  3. Source collection and validation

  4. Editorial drafting using neutral language

  5. Internal review prior to publication

Final editorial control remains with Notable Profiles at all times.

Updates, Corrections & Disputes

Notable Profiles recognises that public records evolve.

  • Profiles are reviewed periodically

  • Material updates are made where new verified information emerges

  • Corrections are applied where inaccuracies are identified

  • Significant disputes or clarifications are noted transparently within the profile

Each profile displays a “Last verified” date to indicate the most recent review.

Relationship to Commercial Services

Notable Profiles operates as an independent editorial platform.

While the platform is supported by SABLR, a consultancy specialising in digital privacy and reputation risk, editorial decisions, inclusion assessments, and content outcomes are governed exclusively by Notable Profiles’ editorial standards.

  • Paid submission does not guarantee inclusion

  • SABLR clients are not automatically eligible for inclusion

  • Editorial outcomes are not influenced by reputation management services

Profile Removal & Revocation

Profiles may be amended or removed if:

  • Inclusion criteria are no longer met

  • Information cannot be adequately verified

  • Editorial standards are breached

  • Continued publication no longer serves a legitimate public interest

Removal decisions are made at editorial discretion.

Scope & Limitations

Notable Profiles does not provide:

  • Reputation management

  • Promotional services

  • Personal branding or marketing

  • Legal judgments or endorsements

Our role is to maintain a neutral reference record, not to shape public opinion.

These editorial standards exist to protect the integrity of the public record and ensure Notable Profiles remains a trusted, independent reference source in an evolving digital and AI-driven information environment.
